Gary Twist, Tazewell County Supervisor of Assessments, was honored for his service to the IPAI at a recent County Assessment Officers Association meeting. The meeting took place in Lincoln, Illinois and was a joint meeting of CCAOs from CAOA Area II and CAOA Area III.

Gary is retiring this summer from Tazewell County. He has a long history of service in property assessment having served in other jurisdictions, including Champaign County, before taking the top post in Tazewell County.

Gary joined the IPAI Board of Directors in 2018 bringing a fresh perspective deep experience in property assessment. In 2019, He was appointed secretary of the Board of Directors and held that position until stepping down from the Board at the end of 2020.

Lee County CCAO and IPAI Board Member Wendy Ryerson and Executive Director Josh Barnett presented Gary with a plaque in recognition of his service to the IPAI.
