June Executive Director's Note

June 17, 2021

Dear Students,

Our 2021 conference season is off to a strong start. Our Southeast Regional Conference in Effingham at the start of June was a big success, and we are excited for what the remainder of 2021 will bring! With Illinois moving to Phase 5, we have increased classroom capacities at some locations. If you previously saw a course was full, check again as there may now be seats available.

The coming months are going to be packed with educational and networking opportunities. Here are just a few highlights:

  • The Williamson County Workshop is July 19 – 21. This marks our return to Marion and southernmost Illinois after many years. “RETDs From Township to State” in both seminar and exam sections is available at this workshop.
  • At our Northeast Regional Conference in Naperville, we are hosting IAAO’s GIS course, “Geographic Information Systems for Assessors.” A few seats remain. This is a top-notch GIS course developed by IAAO and we are excited to partner with them in offering it in the Collar Counties.
  • The CIAO Association is hosting a happy hour on the Monday night of our Central Regional Conference in East Peoria. Attendees are invited to network, grab a little nosh, and raise a glass while connecting with other assessment professionals.
  • In October at our Southwest Regional Conference in Collinsville, the CIAO Association is hosting a coffee hour the first morning of the conference. Grab a roll, a cup of joe, and meet other attendees.

We look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
