2020 Course Updates

June 15, 2020

The IPAI has made changes to course offerings at registrations at some conferences. Please se details of these changes below.

Course Update - Uncovering the Mystery of the Property Tax Appeal Board:

Due to issues surrounding COVID-19, this new course was not developed in time to be rolled out in 2020. We plan to continue development and hold it in 2021. In the meantime, students registered for this course at the Northeast and Southwest Conferences have been transferred to “Residential Complaints at the Local Level” which has been added to both conferences. “Residential Complaints” focuses on complaints before local Boards of Review.

Lake County Workshop Update:

Due to complications with COVID-19, the 2020 Lake County Workshop has been cancelled. The course that was to be held there, “Partial Interests and Taxable Leaseholds” has been moved to the Northeast Conference in Naperville, August 2 – 5. Registrations for all students have been moved to the Northeast Conference. In addition to the seminar section, we are now offering an exam section of “Partial Interests and Taxable Leaseholds” at the Northeast Conference.

Residential Complaints Course at the Spring Conference:

New dates for the Spring Conference will be announced later this week. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, we will not be able to hold “Residential Complaints” at the rescheduled Spring Conference. Instead, this course is being moved to the Central Conference in East Peoria on September 14 & 15 (Monday and Tuesday). Registrations will be automatically transferred to the Central Conference on these dates. “Residential Complaints” is also being held the second half of the Central Conference on September 16 & 17 (Wednesday and Thursday).

Questions about registrations may be directed to the IPAI Registrar.
