Hope Weber Earns CIAO-M

December 23, 2020

Hope Weber, Supervisor of Assessments for Crawford County, Illinois, has recently earned the Certified Illinois Assessing Officer-Master (CIAO-M) advanced designation from the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Weber previously earned the CIAO and CIAO-Specialist designations from the Institute.

To obtain the Illinois Property Assessment Institute’s CIAO-M designation, an individual must first hold the CIAO designation, then take at least 180 hours of continuing education, serve at least eight years in the assessment field, and pass an exam. Less than 1% of CIAOs hold the advanced CIAO-Master designation.

Weber has been the Crawford County Supervisor of Assessments since 2011 and has worked in the assessment office since 1995. She currently serves as the president of the (Illinois) County Assessment Officers Association and is past chairwoman of County Assessment Officers Association Area IV, which covers southeastern and southwestern Illinois. Hope is a life-long Crawford County resident. She is married and has two daughters.
