This class is in partnership with Bruce Harris & Associates
In this class, you will learn about both the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), and the Metes and Bounds system, which are used to define and describe the boundaries of a parcel. Specifically, you will learn how to describe the components of each of these systems and how to read and write legal descriptions. The class will include how to read angles and bearings and will discuss units of measurement and conversions found within legal descriptions. By the end of the 8-hour class, you should be able to read and write basic legal descriptions for parcels of land within your jurisdiction.
