John Dabrowski

Vice Chairman

John lives in Bloomingdale where he has resided since 1976. While running a business and holding a realtor’s license, John’s attention turned to the community in which he lives. John was elected as Village Trustee in 1999 and re-elected in 2003 and 2007. He served on the Bloomingdale Planning Commission, the Bloomingdale Old Town Commission, and the Family Fest and September Fest Committees.

John accepted a position at the Bloomingdale Township Assessor’s office in 2002. His career in assessing began as a field inspector and eventually Chief Deputy Assessor of the Residential Division. John was elected as the Bloomingdale Township Assessor in April 2009, and reelected in 2013, 2017, and 2021.

John currently serves on the Board of Directors holding the title of President for the Fairfield Homeowners Association and is an active member in the local chambers including Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, and Roselle where he was past president. In 2009 John received the Ambassador of the Year Award from the Glendale Heights Chamber and in 2010 received the Business Person of the Year Award from the Roselle Chamber. John was reelected as President for the Roselle Chamber in 2017.

He served as the current Chairman of the Du Page County Area Project for Youth, better known as DUCAP and is past President of the Du Page County Assessor’s Association.  John is president of of The Illinois Assessor’s Association Board, Board Member for T.O.I. (Township Officials of Illinois) and is the Chairman of the Bloomingdale Township Republican Party.

In his spare time, John enjoys a few rounds of golf every now and then.
