During his 39+ years in the assessment field in Iowa Dale served on various committees including the chair person of the Legislative Committee for several years and as president of the Iowa State Association of Assessors. He also was involved with IAAO and served as a committee member for instructor evaluation and awards. Dale’s appraisal experience includes industrial and commercial valuation in addition to residential and agricultural properties. Upon retiring Dale moved to Springfield, Illinois to enjoy his granddaughters.
Dale is a senior instructor for IAAO and has taught several of the 100 and 200 level courses, Course 400 - Assessment Administration and several courses created by the Institute of Iowa Certified Assessors. He also updated the IICA Assessment and Taxation Course which covers basic assessment principles and the assessment laws of Iowa.
Dale keeps busy in retirement by working on home improvement projects, restoring and repairing motorcycles and getting to know the people in the neighborhood.
