After spending more than 30 years in public service, John retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue as a Property Tax Policy Research Analyst. Prior to this, John served as the Director of Research for the Cook County Assessor’s Office for 27 years.
Since his retirement, John has kept very busy doing contract work for IDOR and collaborating with the IPAI. In addition to working an instructor, John is a course author. He has contributed to the creation of several IPAI courses and was primary author of the IPAI’s course entitled “Illinois Tax Policy” that launched in 2019.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with family and friends. He and his wife Lori reside the Chicago suburbs.
