Online & Home Studies

Spring Residential Data Collection
March 18 - 27

The class includes online Zoom sessions (dates/times below) where the whole class and instructor meet together. You are required to attend 100% of these sessions. Students are not able to makeup missed Zoom sessions. This class updates and replaces the Residential Drawings, Fieldwork, and Photographs course and is available for both qualifying elective and CE exam credit.

Class Description

Residential Data Collection takes the topic of residential fieldwork and explores further into in-office reviews, field visit planning, on-site data collection, calculating gross living area, and creating official residential property drawings.

The course is a blended learning journey: you’ll participate in classes on Zoom, and you will be asked to complete some hands-on assignments on your own to hone these skills (such as measuring your own home or the home of someone you know). At this time, there is no option to take this as a seminar-only course.

CE Hours and Elective Details

This class meets one of the two elective requirements for the CIAO designation. CIAO Candidates are required to complete Property Valuation before enrolling in this course and are strongly encouraged to have taken the other core qualifying courses.

For those looking for CE, the course is worth 22.5 hours, equivalent to a 3-day in-person course. This class is only offered as an exam course.
