Rural assessors—this course is for you!
In this course, you will learn how to locate new farm buildings in your jurisdiction (and changes to existing buildings), what data to collect when you are out in the field, and how to apply the appropriate value back at the office. The course will also discuss how to identify the use of the building and strategies to discern real or personal property on farms.
On the afternoon of Day 2, the class will visit a local farm to practice the skills learned in the classroom (weather permitting). Transportation will be provided by the IPAI.
