April 18, 2023

Lisa Gasko, Quincy Township Assessor, was recently awarded the 2023 Outstanding Achievement in Property Assessment Award in recognition of her long career in property assessment, contributions to the industry, and dedication to the people of her community. Gasko received the award at the Illinois Property Assessment Institute’s 65th Annual State Conference held at the Marriott Hotel in Normal, Illinois.

Nominees for the annual Outstanding Achievement in Property Assessment Award are submitted from around Illinois. The winner is determined by the Board of Directors of the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Gasko was nominated for the award by several colleagues throughout Illinois.

Gasko has served as Quincy Township Assessor since 2016. Prior to that, she worked for over 20 years in the Adams County (IL) Supervisor of Assessments office. She holds the Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO) designation from the Illinois Property Assessment Institute.

“Lisa has shown herself to be a strong community leader,” said Quincy Township Supervisor Cindy Brink in nominating her. “She has continued to show her knowledge in the assessment field as well as partner with the community on a personal and business level.”

“Lisa was the first township assessor in Illinois to use spatial aerial flight technology to affirm assessment accuracy,’ noted retired Tazewell County Supervisor of Assessments Gary Twist. He continued, “Her leadership has provided significant advancement and improvement to her office.”
