Frobish Achieves CIAO-I Advanced Designation

April 18, 2024

Susan Frobish, Champaign County Board of Review Secretary, has recently earned the Certified Illinois Assessing Officer-Intermediate (CIAO-I) advanced designation from the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Frobish previously earned the CIAO designation from the Institute.

Frobish has been involved with property valuation, appraisal, sales and renovations for the past 30 years. Her education includes a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

To obtain the Illinois Property Assessment Institute’s CIAO-I designation, an individual must first hold the CIAO designation, then take at least 120 hours of continuing education, serve at least three years in the assessment office, and pass an exam. Only 4% of the CIAOs hold the advanced CIAO-I designation.

Outside of her professional career, Frobish is known to be a competitive adult figure skater and an avid gardener. She also enjoys spending her free time restoring houses and antique furniture.
